Is it possible for an elevator to fall?

1- Every elevator has an extremely strong brake: in such a way that the brake is always active under normal circumstances, and the elevator stops in front of each floor due to these brakes

2- Safety system (parachute): which is actually the second brake and emergency brake, is activated exactly at the moment when the elevator speed exceeds the set value or when the traction cables are loose and acts like two jaws and mechanically stops the movement. The second type of brake has nothing to do with electricity and operates automatically at the moment of power failure
3- Each elevator has at least 4 strong pulling cables (bagsal), which are separate from each other and each operates independently.Strategies for surviving a falling elevator!  /  Is it possible for an elevator to fall?
4- At the lowest part of the elevator (shaft), four shock absorbers are attached to the elevator frame. They are made of polyurethane, spring, or hydraulic. If the elevator falls below a certain limit, it hits the shock absorbers
5- Elevator doors can be opened at any time and anywhere by the person in charge, so there is no possibility of being locked up. The only thing that causes concern in elevators is a power outage or a technical malfunction of the elevator, which can be repaired within a maximum of 10 minutes. If it cannot be repaired, the elevator operator manually uses a special lever to move the elevator cabin to the nearest floor
Use the elevator safely, but always be sure of its safety before using it. An elevator may fall due to a brake failure or a broken cable, which is usually very rare.It is good to know that according to statistics, most elevator accidents occur to elevator workers, namely repairmen, builders, service workers and technicians in this industry, and every effort is made to ensure that dear consumers use this device in complete comfort and safety
